You can't have a normal life anymore. You must know that. How can you have a girlfriend if you can't remember her name? Can't have kids, not unless you want them to grow up with a dad who doesn't recognize them. Sure as hell can't hold down a job. Not too many professions out there that value forgetfulness. Prostitution, maybe. Politics, of course.
Leonard: You know, it's great that you... Well, that you're...helping me...like this.
Natalie: I'm helping you because you helped me.
Leonard gives a blur look. He does not remember how he helped Natalie
Natalie: So next time you see me... will you remember me?
Leonard shakes his head. and then Natalie kisses him.
Natalie (placing her hand on his heart): I think you will.

if you've watched the movie, u'd know these are excerpts from memento and the short story it is based on. GO GET THE DVD AND WATCH THIS IF YOU HAVENT! its the man. easily one of the best movies. haha. its abt this guy leonard who has no short term memory yet is determined to look for and kill the man who killed his wife.
this is one of those few movies that gets better with repeated viewings. (actually i think its almost impossible to fully grasp what christopher nolan is trying to say in the film if u just watch it once.) anyway, the first time i watched the movie, i thought nothing of this scene. but the second time, after i knew the whole plot, then i just wtman! LOL. irony of ironies. and there are alot of scenes like this. u dunno whether to laugh or to cry and leonard's memory handicap (or advantage? depending on how u look at it. lol.)
anyway, i brought this up because i think everyone has memories that we all want to forget, which is a theme in the movie. somethings that we wished we nv knew. ignorance is bliss many a times. lol. and most of the time, we just try to make ourselves forget by not thinking abt those mental images. but like in Leonards words in the movie, can we really have the ability to 'remember to forget'?
lol. i saw something disturbing today. and right now, i wish i had leonard's condition in the movie. LOL!

okay, enough abt that. haha. past few days after CTs have been really fun!
Fantastic Four with nam si rui and daniel
haha. on friday after the physics paper, went to watch fantastic four at vivo. haha. LOL! i said above that i recommend u to watch memento but i dun recommend u to watch this. haha. lol. this is just action bullshit. and not really even first class action. lol.
unless u wanna watch for jessica alba. LOL.
the silver surfer is some man la. but the theme was overly cliche. lol. haha. after the movie, walked around at toys r us. which is a source of fun for little kids and a source of amusement for big MANS (like me. lol.) what the man la. second childhood. lol.
then we went to eat at the ridiculously priced food republic. the hokkien mee is not bad. just that i ts bomb ex and bomb little. maybe next time ill buy the 6 bucks one.. haha.
WOOO! then walked around the place and went to challenger and played some game. lol.
NOT BAD. FUN. XP

ladiesman217 LOL. the nickname like some man. anyway, scouts outing have always been nostalgic and enjoyable. this movie was okay la. better than FF. lol! funnier too. watching ppl getting owned by radios. LOL.
then went to pastaman for lunch. before i zaoed back home while the rest went to lan. haha.
weilins bday chalet
WOOOOOO! this was the man. haha. bomb fun la. okay me xiaoting ggy and charmaine went there and were the first there! champion la. haha. then we made ourselves at home lol. and played with balloons stuck onto the ceiling with glue or something cos there wasnt helium LOL.
then more ppl came and we played texas hold 'em. the man la. haha. then ate and then cut cake. and then had DISCO! WTMAN WTMAN lol. disco just the man. dance until leg spoil. lol.
then went to play cards, (with lets see if i rmb the names): rong en, daniel, audrey and some guy whose name i can pronounce but dunno how to spell. and ggy and charmaine. LOL. GOOD MEMORY. woo.
then i went to sleep in the corridor. and when i awoke i found 4 ppl standing up and staring at me! LOLLOL. that was really the man. i just stunned. lol.
so me xiaoting and chiu left together the next day and walked for man long to finally reach the main road and get a taxi. and i took the taxi to harbourfront.
ARCHERY OUTING
ehhh. the outing some wtman.. lol. okay. i reached harbourfront and then thought the ppl had left for sentosa already. haha. but instead found them at ezone and there were like 7 ppl? lol. ( i think theres going to be a detailed account of the outing at screwthebull.blogspot.com) lol.
then we wtman and just play arcade! HAHA. and then went out and daryl decided to play soccer and volleyball at the vivo rooftop?!?! LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL. like WTMAN. haha. attracted alot of attention haha.
then went to eat lunch at ljs! haha. then we went back to arcade to play awhile more of 3 puck hockey ( I FORGET THE nAME!) haha. before going to yong jins house to play billiards and table tennis and cards. lol.
actually it was quite fun just that. there werent too many ppl and i was alittle tired from the chalet. haha. hope there'll be more archery outings! haha.
then went back to vivo before going back home. and YA. haha. as daryl told me, vivo is THE worst designed shopping centre in singapore!LOL. and i kinda agree. lol. there are so few food outlets. and the toilets are quite out of place! LOL.
so much for good design and architecture. should look at esplanade for inspiration. lol.
